My mommy is a superhero.
This year, we have a small—but actually quite big—mission: to collect as many photos of moms as possible.
Exactly the kind of moms that children see them as. A little funny. A little different. And always the most beautiful in the world.
We want to turn these drawings into one adorable gallery where moms can find themselves and see how their dearest little ones have drawn them.
Draw your mommy too. And ask your daddy (or another grown-up) to take a photo of it and send it to us.
And if you have one more little secret mission…
Then, as Mother’s Day approaches, we can turn that drawing into one of the sweetest gifts—a T-shirt or sweatshirt featuring the very same picture the child drew of their mom.

"When I get hurt, Mom blows on it, and then the pain goes away."
"Mom always knows where my missing sock is."
"When I'm sad, Mom makes me some hot chocolate."
Here are Estonian moms. Exactly as their children see them.
Thanks to these drawings, we now know that moms can fly, cook, crack jokes, and are simply the best in the world. Every picture in this gallery is like a love letter.

My Story of Motherhood
Not All Superheroes Wear Capes, or My Story of Motherhood -
Black Giraffe was born at the same time as my daughter Nora. Ruudi, who was a year and a half old at the time, was eagerly awaiting his little sister. And just like that, there were suddenly five of us—with a new routine, sleepless nights, piles of dirty laundry, joys, and tears.
We grew up together. I probably grew up the most.
Every mother knows that motherhood is the most underappreciated job in the world. And she also knows that she wouldn’t trade it for anything. But when I think about why all of this is so special, it’s because, to one little person, you’re so much more than just a mom. You’re the one who helps, comforts, solves problems, and protects. To him, you’re a superhero.
It’s hard to describe how one little person can take up all the space in your heart. And they do it in the most real way—sleeping in your arms, where one moment their toes are in your face and there’s barely enough room to turn around. But it’s the best place to be.
Motherhood is hard, and people don’t talk about it enough. But when you’re that little person’s very own superhero, honestly—I wouldn’t want or need any other title.

We invite children ages 3–12 to participate in the drawing contest, and we are accepting entries until May 1, 2026.
Draw your mom, mamma, or aunt—someone who is your very own superhero.
Feel free to draw her exactly as you see her.
Whether she has big eyes, really long hair, or even superpowers.
PLEASE use a dark marker for this—that way, your drawing will show up best.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE (3 EASY STEPS)
1. Draw your mom—exactly as you see her.
2. Take a photo of your drawing—it’s best to shoot from above so the entire image fits nicely in the frame.
3. Send it to us at superkangelane@blackgiraffe.ee or upload it using this form
